We carried out a full 3D measured survey of the 50 acre former St Ann’s Hospital site in Harringay, London. We provided topography, underground services, 3D Revit models, and HDR photography of the entire site, including neighbouring Rights Of Light considerations to support Catalyst Housing Limited and Hill Group UK with their hybrid planning application.
Terrestrial laser scanning accurately captured the site and buildings where safely accessible. As to not disturb the residents of the neighbouring properties (required for Rights of Light studies), we deployed a drone to fly along the property boundary capturing all essential aspects and conditions. This benefited the project with substantial time and cost savings.
“Thank you for your hard work, it’s been a really positive experience working with you”
Hannah Utting, Catalyst Housing Ltd
Seven of the buildings are heritage listed, as such the project required these to be modelled to LOD400 with 360 photographic records in high detail.
It was essential to understand where the existing underground services were situated for the coordination of infrastructure. We carried out 3D tracing, CCTV and inspection services with all manhole and drainage covers accurately modelled.
