In contrast to boundary or land surveys, which measure the boundaries or features of the land itself, as-built surveys show all improvements to the building at a given point in time. At the end of the construction an as-built survey is often used to see how the proposed design relates to the finished building creating an accurate record of 3D data, photography, drawings and models.
